ARREST ARSON

Arson takes a devastating toll on everyone. The purpose of the Arson Alarm Local Award Program is to increase public awareness of the crime of arson and elicit their participation in solving arson crimes.

Dear Arson Fighter,

We have great news for you and the fight against arson. The Arson Alarm Foundation has changed its award rules to more directly benefit your arson fighting efforts and your local community.

At your request, award recipients will now be recognized locally in order to bring more awareness to your community’s arson fighting efforts. This will give you and those nominated for their efforts in fighting arson the opportunity for local media coverage, the involvement from local leaders, as well as, the participation of the entire community. We look forward to working with you to find the most suitable location that best meets your needs, such as your local fire station, city hall, school or community center.

In addition, to alleviate a lengthy waiting period, nominations will be reviewed and awarded quarterly. To take advantage of this change, please submit your nominations as early as possible so that the award process is not delayed.

Please review the following nomination form. You may also obtain copies of the nomination form at our website by clicking on Arson Alarm at www.wa-ic.org. We look forward to receiving your nomination and please help us get the word out about these changes by forwarding this information on to those to whom it applies.

Sincerely,

Lisa Garvich, President
